Faculty and students from the New York College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (NYCTCM) participated in the 5th Asian Mid-Autumn Food and Culture Festival in downtown Flushing, providing free health consultations and promoting the College’s acupuncture programs.
Organized by Professor Bin Xu, more than ten students offered pulse and tongue assessments, ear acupressure, and consultations on common health concerns such as insomnia and pain. The event was warmly received by the community and gave students valuable opportunities to apply their clinical knowledge in practice.
President Yemeng Chen, a co-chair of the festival, emphasized that the free clinic was an important way for NYCTCM to give back to the local community and expressed his hope that similar community service activities would continue in the future. (See photos)
