The New York College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (NYCTCM), New York's premier institution of authentic Chinese Medicine, teaches acupuncture and herbal medicine much as they are taught in China, while helping students relate this approach to the evolving practice of Western Medicine in the U.S. The fully-accredited three-year Masters Program in Acupuncture and four-year Masters Program in Oriental Medicine (acupuncture plus Chinese herbology) prepare students for licensure and professional practice within New York State and throughout the U.S.

Students frequently comment that life at NYCTCM has a family feeling — small classes, close contact with instructors and clinic supervisors, and a general atmosphere of mutual caring all contribute to this. The friendly family-style atmosphere encourages stress-free learning.

Students are encouraged to participate on the committees which set school policy and which recommend changes to the program, and students have direct access at all times to the President and Deans of the school.

This feeling of closeness, along with the school’s emphasis on the Chinese source of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), makes for an experience that is akin to the passing along of ancient wisdom from master to pupil.

NYCTCM has experienced faculty — most Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) instructors have been respected practitioners in mainland China.
The excellent faculty, most of whom were trained in China and have extensive teaching and clinical experience in both China and the U.S., combined with small classes and master-apprentice type teaching relationships in the school’s teaching clinics, mean that this ancient knowledge is carefully transmitted to the students who will make up the next generation of master practitioners.

NYCTCM has convenient schedule options.
NYCTCM offers flexible scheduling with classes mostly on weekends. The main campus, located in Mineola, Long Island, is easily accessible by LIRR, bus and auto.

NYCTCM accepts new and transfer students at the beginning of each trimester, in September, January and May.
