NYCTCM is a member in the following organizations:
Consortium of Globalization of Chinese Medicine
Council of Colleges of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine (CCAOM)
National Federation of Chinese TCM Organizations (NFCTCMO)
Acupuncture Society of New York (ASNY)
Accreditation
The New York College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the following programs are accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM):
1. Master of Acupuncture (BPS/MSAc)
2. Master of Acupuncture with a Chinese herbal medicine specialization (BPS/MSTCM)
3. Certificate in Chinese herbal medicine

ACAOM is recognized by the United States Department of Education as the specialized accreditation agency for institutions/programs preparing acupuncture and Oriental medicine practitioners. ACAOM is located at 8941 Aztec Drive, Eden Prairie, Minnesota 55347; phone 952/212-2434; fax 952/657-7068;

Authorizations
NYCTCM has been approved by the New York State Education Department and was granted an absolute charter on November 9, 2001. On April 29, 2003, the Board of Regents authorized NYCTCM to confer the Bachelor of Professional Studies and Master of Science degrees.
NYCTCM has been approved by the U.S. Department of Education and the New York State Education Department to administer financial aid programs, and has been authorized under Federal law to enroll nonimmigrant alien students.
